This year at the Bruno Maderna Conservatory in Cesena, I had my first Erasmus student from the Conservatory of Bucharest, Romania. Elvis Buruiana attended the first semester of this academic year and, to his amazement, discovered the Italian classical repertoire for the accordion, specifically that of Luciano Fancelli. In a short time, he completed the study of some of Fancelli's most famous compositions, performing them in concerts that I managed to organize for him across Emilia-Romagna and the Marche regions. With his expressive and technical skills, he has certainly remained in the hearts of many people who were able to listen to him.
Below is a small excerpt from "10 Km al Finestrino" by L. Fancelli at his concert in Cesena at the Dallapiccola Hall of the Conservatory, a wonderfully crowded venue thanks to the meticulous work of the production team of the Bruno Maderna - Lettimi.
A heartfelt thanks to the Director of the Conservatory of Cesena, Laura Pistolesi, for supporting Elvis during his Italian stay; without her sensitivity, none of this could have happened.
